Historic Apalachicola

The Apalachicola Center for History,
Culture and Art announces an open call
to all artists to submit entries for the 2nd
Annual Apalachicola Marine Art and
Maritime History Exhibition. Art submitted
can consist of but is not limited to oil
paintings, drawings, pastels, watercolors,
acrylic paintings, sculpture of any medium,
glass, wood working, photography, or any
other medium that has a maritime or nautical
theme that will compliment the exhibit.
The exhibition will run from April 8th
until April 30th with an opening reception
to be held from 6-8 on April 8th. The exhibition will be open extended hours to complement the Apalachicola Antique and Classic
Boat Show, April 16th.

Eligibility - Open to any artist over the
age of 18 working in any medium with a
maritime or water theme such as boats,
light houses, beaches, bays, Historic Apalachicola, or any other appropriate complimentary art work.

Entry Procedure - Please send a completed
entry form with up to four digital images. Three dimensional images may
send an alternative angle or detail image.
The entry should contain your name, address, telephone number, size, medium
of your work, and sale price. Please include
your artist statement and Biography.
A maximum of three works will be
displayed. Images can be emailed to
krazy15k@hotmail.com. Include Apalachicola Marine Art and Maritime History Exhibition in your subject line.
Please make images no longer than 1920
on the longest side. Email submissions
are preferred but entries can be mailed to
242 Atlantic Ave Apalachicola, Fl 32320
but must arrive no later than March 25th.
With mailed entries please submit a cd
containing the four images and not photographs for judging. If you have any

Notice of Acceptance - will be emailed
to you by March 29th. Artist Drop off will
be April 6th at at the Apalachicola Center
for History, Culture and Art, the Historic
Cotton Warehouse, on the corner of Avenue
E and Water Street in downtown
Apalachicola. Have all works framed or
ready for display. If you need alternative
arrangements please notify us upon acceptance.

Sales - The Apalachicola Center for History,
Culture and Art will receive a 40%
commission on any sales of work.

Entry Fee - All submissions require a
payment of a non-refundable entry fee of
$15 for all 4 submissions, which is accepted
via check or money order made
payable to the City of Apalachicola/
Center for History, Culture and Art at 242
Atlantic Ave Apalachicola, Fl 32320.

Liability and Agreement - Although extreme care will be taken with all entries
and works of art, the Apalachicola Center
for History, Culture and Art cannot be responsible for entries and work in transient
to or from the exhibition. The utmost care
will also be taken during the exhibition.
Sending in entries denotes agreement to
the terms and conditions as stated in the
entry information. Permission to photograph
accepted work for publicity purposes
shall be understood to be granted
unless specifically denied.
